The Northeast Network of Training in Family Health (RENASF) holds, this Wednesday (11/08) , Aula Magna of the first class of Professional Doctorate in Family Health, promoted by Fiocruz Ceará and seven other nucleators. The schedule will be broadcast from 2 pm on the RENASF YouTube channel.

The first class of the group of thirty doctoral students will be taught by demographer and professor at the Harvard University School of Public Health, Márcia Castro. With the theme “From yellow fever to Covid-19: challenges and responses to pandemics in Brazil.

This is the first network doctorate approved by CAPES in the area of public health. The problems experienced in the workplace are the focus of the intervention and research projects developed, with the purpose of improving and strengthening the ESF.

Created in 2009, RENASF aims to promote research and teaching on family health and related topics, producing knowledge and developing postgraduate teaching activities. Over these 11 years, the Network has trained more than 400 masters in the Northeast Region.
